China Development Financial Holding Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "CDF") continues to carry out its commitment to the "Become Employer of Choice" strategy pillar and while doing so proactively create a healthy working environment for its employees. Recently, CDF held the 2023 Walker Challenge to encourage employees in walking 10,000 steps a day for a healthier life. This year, more than 2,000 employees of CDF participated in the walkathon. During the month-long event, more than 810 million steps were taken, which is approximately 397 circles around the island of Taiwan, and is equivalent to a reduction of 115,000 kg of carbon emissions. The participants not only developed good exercise habits, but also made a concerted effort for the global environment.

CDF Chairman Su-Kuo Huang encouraged employees to carry out the habit of "walk more, drive less" in their lives, not only to improve their own health, but also for environmental sustainability. By doing so, CDF's ESG carbon reduction goal can also be achieved. According to the China Development Foundation, CDF Walker is the most popular ESG event of CDF Group in recent years. Many employees got motivated to wake up at 5:00 a.m. to exercise during the event, so as to stay fit and healthy. Some teams also invited colleagues and family members to go hiking together on holidays, or to participate in public welfare activities such as beach cleaning or volunteering to accompany guide dogs. These activities not only help to relax the body and mind, but also bond together the colleagues and their families.

To motivate the teams in maintaining their enthusiasm, several bonus tasks were launched during the event to challenge the team's solidarity and execution. One of the tasks, "Walk for Eggs", required each team member to walk 10,000 steps for three consecutive days to complete the task and participate in the prize drawing for eggs. During the period of egg shortage, every team tried their best to achieve the goal, bringing the competition to its climax.

CDF pays full attention to the physical and mental health of the employees. In addition to encouraging employees to develop a healthy walking habit, the staff canteen is carefully designed to provide delicious and balanced meals, including a variety of fruits and vegetables, fish and other healthy dishes, as well as a variety of seasonal menus. During festival times, special meals are also thoughtfully provided, such as dumplings on the eve of the Lantern Festival, so that employees can enjoy the festive atmosphere while dining.

CDF also provides employees with regular health checkups and health consultation services, and cooperates with external professional psychological counseling institutions in providing consultation services to employees. By taking comprehensive care of employees' physical and psychological well-being, CDF aims to create a safe and friendly workplace.
