Press Release

China Development Financial Holding Corporation (CDF) has reaffirmed its commitment to becoming the "Employer of Choice" by announcing that all CDF Group employees will receive a birthday leave starting from 2024. This makes CDF the first financial holding company in Taiwan to provide a birthday leave benefit that applies to all subsidiaries. Furthermore, CDF will extend the implementation of physical checkup leave to all subsidiaries, ensuring that all CDF Group employees can prioritize their physical and mental health.

CDF supports employees to pursue work-life balance by providing a range of leave options, including maternity and paternity leave, as well as up to 4 days of volunteer leave per year. In a move that sets it apart from its peers, CDF will also introduce birthday leave for all employees in the group during their birth month. In addition, CDF has long provided health checkup subsidies to employees and will extend the scope of physical checkup leave to all employees in the group starting from 2024, allowing employees to regularly monitor their health and wellbeing without any concerns about taking time off work.

In addition to a variety of leave options, the CDF employee cafeteria is also a popular company benefit among CDF employees. Especially themed foods on festival occasions add to the enjoyment of work. The cafeteria also regularly promotes "no red meat" days to encourage healthy eating habits. Starting in February 2024, CDF will increase the meal allowance. Employees who choose not to dine in the employee cafeteria will receive a monthly meal allowance increase from NT$2,400 to NT$3,000.

In addition, CDF has adopted digital and agile thinking into daily operations to enhance HR process efficiency. The company has been conducting certain HR processes, including recruitment, training, and performance management, via the Workday digital platform. Next year, CDF will further expand the platform capabilities by enabling features such as mobile clock-in, online leave applications, and viewing personal compensation information. This process simplification will allow employees to handle administrative needs more flexibly.

Melody Chen, Chief HR Officer at CDF, stated that CDF holds an internal employee survey annually to understand overall employee engagement, as well as to collect feedback and opinions from employees. The company continuously improves related measures based on survey results, with the aim of creating a wellbeing system that truly meets the needs of employees and fosters mutual growth between employees and the company.
