Press Release

China Development Financial Holding Corporation (CDF) is dedicated to promoting sustainable development in local areas. For three consecutive years, CDF has sponsored the "Taiwan Placemaking Festival" and served as a selection judge for the "Regional Revitalization Award," known as the Oscars of the regional revitalization industry. This initiative aims to encourage more young people to engage in regional revitalization, inject vitality into local industries, and promote sustainable development in local areas.

The 2023 "Taiwan Placemaking Festival" is organized by the “Taiwan Placemaking Alliance,” with CDF as an important sponsor for three consecutive years. The event aims to provide a platform for over 200 regional revitalization teams from Taiwan, cultivate young talents, use the power of the younger generation to inject vitality into rural areas, and support local industries in achieving sustainable development.

CDF has long been involved in developing sustainable local development. In 2021, CDF launched the "Inclusive Vision" project to support regional revitalization teams, cultivate regional revitalization talents, and assist in local support systems as its three main development axes. In 2022, CDF pioneered the “Regional Revitalization Volunteer Vacation,” opening up a new model for corporate participation in regional revitalization.

The regional revitalization volunteer vacation utilizes the popular "volunteer vacation" service model that has been popular overseas in recent years. The project collaborates with quality teams such as CAN Culture, Art & Nature, the Plahan Shared Care Labor Cooperative, and Happy Food 1000 Co. in the northern, central, and southern regions to plan a series of volunteer activities that support disadvantaged education, elderly care, and co-creation of youth and the elderly. Colleagues can choose various volunteer activities based on their own caring towns and issues. A total of 900 colleagues have participated in these activities, bringing economic benefits to the local area while also supporting over 100 vulnerable elderly and 150 children in remote areas.

CDF’s efforts in regional revitalization have been recognized. In collaboration with "Happy Food 1000 Co." Syuejia District of Tainan, they promote a cooperative model for regional revitalization that is friendly to the land and involves both young and elderly farmers. In 2021, CDF won the third prize in the "Enterprise CSR x Regional Revitalization Proposal Competition" organized by the National Development Council. For over two years, the two parties have continued to work together in a friendly environment, talent development, and care for the vulnerable, becoming one of the benchmark cases for collaboration between businesses and regional revitalization teams.

CDF will continue to promote sustainable inclusion, support young people's involvement in local industry development, assist in establishing a new form of social well-being, and create new values in regional revitalization.
