China Development Financial Holding Corporation (CDF) continues to deepen its ESG practices and as such has been recognized for its sustainable efforts at the 16th Taiwan Corporate Sustainability Awards in 2023. CDF was honored with three major awards: the "Taiwan Top 100 Sustainable Enterprises Award," the "Platinum Award for Sustainability Reporting," and the "Talent Development Leadership Award." These awards demonstrate CDF's commitment to promoting sustainability and have earned recognition from various sectors.

The "Taiwan Corporate Sustainability Awards (TCSA)" are organized by the Taiwan Institute for Sustainable Energy, and companies are selected for the award by experts from industry, government, and academia. This award is the most influential sustainability award in Taiwan. CDF has demonstrated a long-term commitment to sustainable development and has continuously leveraged its financial influence to promote green finance, resulting in the company winning three major awards.

For two consecutive years, CDF has received the Taiwan Top 100 Sustainable Enterprises Award, showcasing the company’s dedication to environmental sustainability (E), social welfare (S), and corporate governance (G). CDF has established a sustainable development vision and strategy in these three areas, steadily working towards fulfilling their commitment to achieving a net-zero carbon portfolio for all assets by 2045.

CDF has also been honored with the "Talent Development Leader Award" for its outstanding performance in developing employee welfare and improving talent development. To achieve its vision of becoming an "Employer of Choice," CDF has established a learning and training blueprint, introduced multiple international learning platforms and career seminars, and enabled employees to improve their professional skills, develop critical knowledge and abilities for their careers, and unleash their potential while growing together with the company, creating value for themselves and the company.

CDF focuses on three main aspects of employee welfare: physical health, mental health, and financial health. The company has planned and implemented comprehensive employee welfare measures, connecting with campus talent, and collaborating with different industries to actively invite young talent to join and drive innovative thinking within the group, further cultivating talent.

In addition, CDF has strengthened the quality of its ESG information disclosure. In its sustainability report, CDF adheres to the latest version of the GRI guidelines and international sustainability accounting standards (SASB) for disclosing its sustainability efforts in the "insurance industry standards, investment banking, and brokerage industry standards" sectors. Furthermore, CDF follows the TCFD framework for climate-related financial disclosures to report its climate action achievements. As a result of its comprehensive and reliable information disclosure and effective communication, CDF has received the highest accolade of the "Platinum Award for Sustainability Reporting". CDF will continue to leverage its financial influence and innovative thinking to create a more resilient and sustainable future for its clients.
