China Development Financial Holding Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "CDF") reported today its profit for the month of March. Unaudited after-tax profit was NT$1.94 billion, while after-tax profit for the first quarter reached NT$3.50 billion. EPS was NT$0.21.
CDF and its subsidiary businesses demonstrated stable performance in the month of March benefiting from rising trends in capital markets, and the rebound in trading volumes from the Taiwan stock market. China Life benefited from stable recurring income, its after-tax profit in March was NT$904 million and after tax profit for the first quarter was NT$321 million. KGI Securities benefited from a strong performance in the Taiwan stock market in March which resulted in an after-tax profit in March of NT$643 million and an after-tax profit for the first quarter of NT$1.89 billion. KGI Bank continued to grow steadily driven by contributions from interest and fee income. KGI Bank’s after-tax profit in March was NT$527 million and after-tax profit for the first quarter was NT$1.53 billion. CDIB Capital Group benefited from the global market trend, which resulted in an increase in the evaluation of investment positions. CDIB Capital Group’s after-tax profit in March was NT$330 million and after-tax profit for the first quarter was NT$933 million.
CDF stated that while the global economy is still expected to face uncertainties, CDF will continue to enhance control mechanism to mitigate operational risks and focus on core strategies to maintain long-term stable business development.
